Adapt reading of iGS-020, iGS-030 and iGS-040 to your environment

Adapt iGS-020, iGS-030 and iGS-040 reading
to your environment (offset)

For example, you can apply a correction to the reading of a wall controller without external probe (iGS-020, iGS-030 or iGS-040) to read real conditions closer to plants:

for example, if the wall controller reads 68°F (20°C) and the temperature measured in the upper part of plants, under the light, is 73°F (23°C),
assuming that the temperature vary similarly close to the wall and at the top of plants,
you can apply a 5°F (3°C) correction to the value displayed.

Thus you will read on the controller the estimated temperature in the upper part of plants (under the light).

However, we highly recommend using a controller with an external probe that must be placed in the upper part of plants, under the light, for a more accurate and representative reading of what plants really feel. Then, you can move the probe as your plants grow.

PLUG'n'GROW iGS-020R, iGS-030R and iGS-040R have such an external probe, allowing optimal climate control.

Temperature reading can be increased or decreased by 9°F (5°C) and the humidity reading by 12.5%.

To adapt reading (iGS-020 and iGS-030)

Action		Expected result
Step 1	In reading mode, press dial and keep pressed while turning one whole turn LEFT and one whole turn RIGHT (all LEDs are supposed to turn OFF), then release dial.	All LEDs and display will turn OFF for at least one second after dial has been released. When OP mode and DAY LEDs are flashing (0.5 second ON, 0.5 second OFF), you are in the good mode.
Step 2	Modify the value on display by turning dial, then press dial and keep pressed until OP mode and DAY LEDs stay on (about 3 seconds) to save modifications.	Controller will go back in reading mode. Modifications have been saved.
Step 2	Or press dial and keep pressed less than 3 seconds to exit without saving modifications.	Controller will go back in reading mode. Modifications have not been saved.

To adapt reading (iGS-040)

Action		Expected Result
Step 1	In reading mode, turn dial to select the parameter to modify (temperature or humidity).	Reading is displayed and the DAY or NIGHT mode LED of this parameter is flashing (1/16 second each 2 seconds).
Step 2	Press dial and keep pressed while turning half a turn to the LEFT and half a turn to the RIGHT (all 4 LEDs are supposed to turn OFF), then release dial.	All LEDs will stay on about one second after dial has been released and then will turn OFF. When the NIGHT LED of dehumidifying mode (the right LED) is flashing (0.5 second ON, 0.5 second OFF), you are in the good mode.
Step 3	Modify the value on display by turning the dial, then press dial and keep pressed until the NIGHT LED of dehumidifying mode stay on (about 3 seconds) to save modifications.	Controller will go back in reading mode. Modifications have been saved.
Step 3	Or press dial and keep pressed less than 3 seconds to exit without saving modifications.	Controller will go back in reading mode. Modifications have not been saved.
