Re-calibration once per cultivation period is recommended. Every PLUG’N’GROW controller prompts the gardener once a year with a displayed alert. For a correct calibration of the CO2 sensor at all times, use a 1000 ppm certified calibration gas (see your preferred indoor gardening store. If no such accurate calibration method and material is available, bring your controller outdoors (temperature must be above 32ºF, 0ºC ) to calibrate it at 400 ppm CO2 or your best estimate. Remember that CO2 400 ppm concentration is an estimate and not the real concentration at your site.
iGS-061
Quick calibration (outdoors)
1- Bring your iGS-061 outdoors in order to calibrate it using the average 400 ppm natural CO2 concentration.
2- Press and release knob until "Operating Mode" indicator light is ON.
3- Press and hold down knob for at least 3 full seconds until the indicator light blinks and the display shows "CAL". After release, display will show "CAL" and "CO2" in sequence.
4- Press and hold down knob until display shows "CAL". After release, you will see "CAL" and "RUN" in sequence.
5- Wait for the calibration to be done (few minutes). Be sure not to breathe near the CO2 sensor while calibrating.
6- When the display shows "CAL" and "Done" in sequence, calibration is successfully completed. Press and release knob to return to reading mode (all indicator lights are OFF).
Regular calibration
1- Measure the real CO2 concentration in the room by using another CO2 controller or monitor or with a certified CO2 concentration gas mix as a reference.
2- Press and release knob until "Operating Mode" indicator light is ON.
3- Press and hold down knob for at least 3 full seconds until the indicator light blinks and the display shows "CAL". After release, display will show "CAL" and "CO2" in sequence.
4- Press and release knob. Display will show "CAL" and a value in sequence.
5- Turn knob to replace the shown value by the real CO2 concentration measured at step 1.
6- Press and hold down knob until display shows "CAL" only (3 seconds). After release, you will see "CAL" and "RUN" in sequence.
7- Wait for the calibration to be done (few minutes). Be sure not to breathe near the CO2 sensor while calibrating.
8- When the display shows "CAL" and "DONE" in sequence, calibration is successfully completed. Press and release knob to return to reading mode (all indicator lights are OFF).
iGS-100
1- Press Up arrow and Down arrow alternately 5 times within 5 seconds ( and ¯ and and so on).
2- When display shows "CAL" and "CO2" alternately, press Setpoint to continue (or Night: Setpoint to abort calibration).
3- Display shows "CAL" and "CO2" reading alternately. Press Up arrow or Down arrow to adjust this value to the real known concentration or to 400 ppm if you are outdoors. Then, press Setpoint to continue.
4- Display shows "CAL" and "RUN" alternately to indicate calibration is in progress (can take 8 minutes). Be sure not to breathe near the CO2 sensor while calibrating.
5- When calibration is complete, display shows "CAL" and "DONE" alternately. Press any key to exit and resume normal operation.
iGS-221, iGS-220 (iGS-200, iGS-210)
1- Press the Select Sensor key until ppm CO2 light turns ON.
2- Press Up arrow and Down arrow alternately 5 times within 5 seconds ( and so on). Display will show "CAL" and "CO2" alternately.
3- Press Select Sensor to continue to step 4. (To abort calibration, press Modify)
4- Display will show the ambient CO2 ppm alternately with "CAL". Press Up arrow and Down arrow to reach the real CO2 level or 400 ppm if you are outdoors. Press Select Sensor to continue to step 5 (or press Modify to abort calibration).
5- Display will show "CAL" and "RUN" alternately to indicate calibration is in progress. It may take up to 8 minutes before calibration is finished. Be sure not to breathe near the CO2 sensor while calibrating.
6- When calibration is complete, display shows "CAL" and "DONE" alternately. Press any key to exit. The controller will restart.
