Turning on lamps and equipment alternately

Higher load equipments

In indoor gardening, the triggered electric swircher box is a useful complement to the horticultural controller allowing to feed high power equipment. It is difficult to design a horticultural controller, easy to use and plug, also able to manage all possible variations of voltage and currents required by equipments used in small and large gardens. Different heating equipments can accept commands on a 24 Volts AC, or on 110-120 Volts AC or on 220-240 Volts Ac and sometimes on triphased electric current. The same thing happens with the air conditioning systems and with HID lamps. In the case of simple connexions using 120Volts AC and 240Volts AC, PLUG'N'GROW offers triggered switch boxes to feed most heavy load equipments. The triggered switcher box is activated by a controller. When the controller switches to ON, the switch box is activated.  An electric switch box plugged to a timer can feed many HID lamps. If the trigger cable is plugged in the outlet of the controller managing heating, the switch box can feed many small heaters or a larger unit depending on the selected switch box. To cool your garden, you can use many small air conditioners requiring 15 Amperes each plugged into a PLUG'N'GROW switch box.  The triggered switch PLUG'N'GROW boxes can be plugged directly to the electric service panel of the building on a circuit protected by a fuse or breaker. If it is a 220-240 Volts AC switch box, it may use a power cord to a dryer or to a kitchen stove plug both being already connected on a protected circuit using a fuse or a breaker.

Safety devices

The electric distribution PLUG'N'GROW triggered switch boxes also offers safety devices.  Each electrical outlet is protected by a breaker accepting a load of 15 Amperes.

Turning on equipments alternately

The triggered switcher boxes iLS4 from PLUG'N'GROW may be plugged into an optionnal external timer to delay the feeding of the equipments when the power comes back after a cut. This timer is optionnal and sold separately. This adjustable timer protects the HID lights which need to cool down before to restart to avoid prematurely burning the bulbs. The timer is also useful to delay the starting of the heating equipment or the air conditioning system. It then decreases the power required when it gets back online. Moreover, the timer can trigger ON the iLS4 switcher box outlets sequentially: 1 at a time with 30 seconds between each outlet power up (iLS4T-1) or 2 outlets at a time with 30 seconds before the second pair of outlets power up (iLS4T-2).
